Summer is here!

Summer has come! It is fun to see the kids having fun in the good old sprinkler! We have had a cool, wet spring and now that summer is here, we are looking forward to some warmer weather! Two sleeping beauties!!

The Knarly Tree Trunk

We see the knarly tree,
What is it's mystery?
It's age we do not know.
Or why it's knarls are so,

But God the Father knows,
Just why it rains and snows,
He sent His Son for me,
That's another mystery.

Robin on Nest

This robin was on its nest early this spring but unfortunately
left it and there are 3 little eggs inside. Each time we have gone back to the cottage, the eggs remain, but no mother robin! She built this nest in the kids fort, against some deer antlers that were stuck up there.

To bike or not to bike...

The youngest loves to bike!
We rarely get to hike.
Mosquitoes we don't like.
Good eating fish is pike.
